WMD-PM-Mutes-PCBDetail.png (13.69 KiB) Viewed 442 times A usable illuminated tact SW isn't looking quite so hard to find. There is room for a 9x9mm PCB chiclet but it may not be needed. The 2 'extra' pads will add mechanical stability if a chiclet PCB is needed. Only 4 of the six pads need be used for the circuit since the SPST switch has dual contacts. I've drawn them in orange on a snip of the PCB which is too small to see until you open it up and make it bigger. The six pads are set up with the LED going across the middle and a duplicated SPST SW each side. I'm choosing to pursue an alternative that uses the existing PCB as is. The PCB layout is not as amenable to that choice -but could be re-designed to suit. It is definitely electrically possible to separate the LED and SW to use different parts. The only hard part is that the original used a red-green LED. Illuminated Tact SW's are easily found from a number of suppliers and aren't going away any time soon. Probably more common parts to acquire as time goes by. What about switches found on modules like uO_c and an LED above/below? Doesn’t have a perfect side shot but at least has a front/rear and 3/4 view This site has the best pics I have been able to find. Looks like it will still separate okay but will leave a little part of the PCB to be clipped off. One of the separation holes between the jacks and panel board is misplaced. Need to see pics of one of the WMD modules to verify this approach. If a connector was used between this PCB and the jacks PCB it may need to change to 5 wires instead. The overall module depth increases by 1,5mm. The net effect is that the panel PCB is one PCb thickness further from the main panel rear. And have the footprint on top for the new SW's chosen. The new little chiclets are soldered to the existing long SMD pads for the WMD style SW's. Make little conversion-translator PCBs for the switches so that a different type may be used. Get the main PCB fabbed and stuffed as usual. It may not be as hard as it first seemed.

A simple easy to use module with tons of uses.Īll analogue signal path keeps your tone intact and sounding the way you intended it to.I have panels for the existing version, but no PCB.Ĭan you post a pic of the panel you have to the thread?ĭoes anyone have shots of the completed module? At least the panel but a side view would be helpful too. Perfect for live performance and momentary effect blasts. Use one channel for adding stereo effects and the other to dial up some nice parallel compression. Control both crossfaders with one CV easily and decide how the Y will react to X's CV.Įasily transition between two performers similar to a DJ transitioning between decks with one channel and add some master buss effects with the other. AXYS was born from this need.Įach crossfader features stereo inputs with normalling for mono to stereo uses as well as independent CV control. Over the past couple years we consistently felt the need for a simple crossfader module that would allow users to switch between two stereo sources, add a stereo effect path, or easily mix a mono source with a stereo one.

Stereo patching is becoming more common each day in the Eurorack Modular Synth System and we here at the shop are performing out a ton.
